Currently, three major companies offer trips to Nusa Penida from here: Maruti Express, Angel’s Billabong Fast Cruise, and Mola-Mola Express. You can buy tickets at the beach, but it’s advisable to check each company’s schedule about a day in advance to fit your plans.
The fare for a speedboat is around 150,000 IDR (approximately 245,000 VND), and the boats operate from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The trip from Sanur to Nusa Penida usually takes about an hour. Onboard, you’ll experience the thrill of gliding over the waves and breathing in the salty sea air.
2.2 Getting Around Nusa Penida
You can freely choose between a motorbike or a car to explore Nusa Penida. If you opt for a motorbike, remember to keep to the left and limit your speed on steep roads. Renting a motorbike costs around 50,000 – 100,000 IDR per day, making it easy to move around and enjoy the island’s scenery. However, the roads in Nusa Penida are often rugged and challenging, so if you’re not confident in your driving skills, you might face some difficulties.
